I recently bought an acer v5-591g and i want to install windows 7 on it. it doesn't have a cd/dvd drive. it has 2 usb3.0 ports and 1 usb2.0 port. i made a usb install stick. but as soon as i start. Ok so i boot from the dvd and i get the typical windows driver loading and get to the first blue screen to install windows 7. i click install and it says starting install then it stops and says cd/dvd device driver missing.... Windows install would cause some driver issues, so you can check if there is any driver problem caused after installing windows 7. go to device manager to check for the driver status. in device manager, if you see a yellow mark next to the device, the driver is having a problem..
If you are "going back to windows-7" this implies that the computer was originally supplied with windows-7. in that case you should ignore ubuntu and use the windows-7 installation cd/dvd or the windows-7 recovery cd/dvd that was supplied with the computer..
